TOKE.N offers multiple services and uses, but its main purpose is to provide a degree of transparency to customers that new dispensaries and cannabis companies cannot. Additionally (and just as important), it adds value for cannabis producers, processors and retailers. TOKE.N seeks to restore the personal nature of black market cannabis transactions to the consumer, providing traceability, information and a better overall experience throughout the process. How will TOKE.N deliver these complaints?
Firstly, by using TOKE.N, the consumer will have access to information regarding where the product was cultivated, the conditions under which it was grown, how it was processed, its genetic history and much more. For a product as comprehensive as marijuana, people want more than a catchy strain name and THC / CBD percentages.
Companies that integrate with TOKE.N will have the option of issuing an NFT (Non-Fungible Token) included with the purchase of their product. This gives the company the ability to directly market its brand and adds value to the product by associating it with a unique token that will have utility on the blockchain.
NFTs
NFTs available in cannabis packaging will be collectible, tradable, and salable. The first generation will consist of cannabis seeds that will evolve into fully mature plants. Other collections will feature cannabis cultivation-themed art and music.
For users outside of Canada, NFTs can be purchased in our marketplace or issued from our website. Users can collect sets of all strains from a grower, breeder or region.
The marketplace
The TOKE.N site will have both an NFT marketplace and a traditional online store.
The online store will carry a wide range of cannabis related accessories and home grow supplies. It will be available internationally and will accept TOKE.N and other crypto currencies as a payment method with standard fiats.
In Canada, there will be a federally licensed online medical cannabis dispensary where consumers with the proper medical documentation can legally purchase cannabis and cannabis products from our partners. Our goal is to eventually accept cryptocurrencies for payment on this site as well.
In the past year, Scotian OG has secured seven cannabis licenses from Health Canada for third party producers, and we have full confidence in securing the appropriate licenses for the TOKE.N project.
The metaverse
TOKE.N will be integrated as the main currency in a VR game called New Block City.
Players will be able to stake their TOKE.Ns and NFTs collected or purchased from their own virtual farms in an NBC borough called Agrestic.
The top 50 TOKE.N owners will receive free OG farms when the game platform launches.
NFTs will start as seeds and mature over time after the user plants them (game). The seeds have genetic attributes and terpene profiles that affect their growth, yield and value.
Users can “create” two NFT seeds into a single hybrid plant that will have genetic components from each seed. These hybrids can be more or less valuable than their parents in the market. Each user creation will be unique and will offer varied gameplay over time.
New Block City integration
NBC is an upcoming game to gain gaming experience. It will take place in a virtual open world city. Players will compete for money, goods, power and fame in five unique city districts. Successful players will master the economy of New Block City and earn real wealth.
